BANKASTANNIC® SnCl₄ is a clear, colorless, heavy-fuming liquid. It provides a good ability to toughen glass as the largest application of
Stannic Chloride. The main uses of SnCl₄ are as a raw material for the manufacture of other tin compounds, especially in organotins.

BANKASTANNIC® SnCl₄ is widely used as a catalyst in chemical reactions and as a chemical intermediate in paint polymers, resins, urethane, pesticides, pharmaceuticals, fungicides, wood preservatives, electroconductive coatings, security alarm glazing of windshield manufacture.

SnCl₄ is also used as a stabilizer for colors in soap, a mordant for dyeing silks in blueprints and other sensitized paper, and as an antistatic agent for synthetic fabrics.
